It never fails to fond my days off; Kinfolk.
One of my favourite things to do: plunging to Kinfolk's website and literally clicking to the film subject, but too bad Vimeo here is banned (I thanked Tae Kim for finally uploading some of Kinfolk's short films and your channel on YouTube has new subscriber now; me on purposes). So, what's your favourite archive? Saturdays, definitely.
Kinfolk Saturdays: Hosting a Flower Potluck
Few tips for hosting your own flower potluck I got from Kinfolk's stories:
- Make sure you have plenty of shears/scissors and buckets or vases on hand. It's also nice to have some twine or ribbon for making little hand bouquets to bring to a friend.
- Clear a table for all your flowers and greenery; order by shape, colour, size, variety, scent-whatever makes the most sense to you.
- The rules are: There are no rules. Some like to make really wild, frenzied bouquets; some like to make prim and proper posies. Let everyone pick their fancy and go with it. Flowers are personal.
- One bit of helpful advice: Cut the stems at an angle for more water absorption and cut the leaves off the end of stems (anything below the waterline). This will keep your arrangements fresher for longer.
- Now that everyone's had their fill of flowers, enjoy a simple meal together with your bouquets strewn about. No need for anything fancy-your flowered setting will bring charm to your meal no matter how mundane.
Kinfolk Saturdays: Swimming in Wild Waters
These words come up from my own perspective ideal; all time favourite thoughts I want to do before dying is jumping down from the cliff to the crystal water coloured by blue or green or grey or kind of those stuff, encircled by the pine trees, and watching sun flicker overhead. I'm always thinking how it feels to stand up and walk into the surface of that untamed waters which filled by the big wild stones under; immersing your body and let the outdoor atmosphere calms your mind down.
