LOCUS

Ahoy, without further ado I proudly present you the online-publication of our internal magazine "LOCUS #3". By clicking the link we've given you below, you'll be directly connected to the digital platform we provide.

In the first instance, I'd like to thank them-my dainty LOCUS Team-a billion times for truthfully helping me running our internal magazine for about a year. Especially the oldest team who supported me for more than about one and a half years, I owe you my life :') And last but not least, thank you 2013 team for still keeping up the LOCUS for the next edition. I hope you'll offer the better and also the chimpier LOCUS for the fourth publication, break-a-leg!

Cheesy!
Bwehehehe, agak sedih akhirnya gue ga perlu lagi pusing-pusing mikirin majalah yang selalu ditanya-tanya kapan terbitnya ini. Pusing tapi menyenangkan, sungguh.

Hal pertama yang gue lakukan adalah membuat logo LOCUS yang lebih up to date dan bisa dipatenkan, beserta dengan tagline nya yaitu "Ahoy" so, jadilah "Ahoy LOCUS" aseq~ Tidak berhenti dari buat logo aja, gue dan teman-teman memutuskan untuk buat branding photo LOCUS yang bikin tangan gue pegel banget buat foto, edit, sampe upload di Facebook. But it was really fun!

To see the complete folder of our photos, please jump into my Facebook portal 'cause I publish it to Public for a moment tho.

Walaupun terkadang harus tetiba nambahin artikel dan nyari bahannya sendiri di waktu-waktu injury time sebelum terbit, atau konsekuensi harus desain semua halaman tanpa terkecuali buat LOCUS #2 dan #3 (but thank you so much for Puti who helped me designing those 4 pages of Atlet IMG for the 3rd edition, it means a lot for me sistah, luvs!) hihi tapi tak mengapa, namanya juga cinta apa sih yang engga.

Last but not least, the last message I could put to the last page of the third edition I've handled. Thank you so much all for the opportunity, terima kasih telah memberikan gue kesempatan untuk menyalurkan hobi gue mendesain dengan cara yang lebih fancy wqwq apa dah maskudnya. Intinya I'm so happy for finally making some publications related to my passion of designing, thank you!

Another last but not least, semangat buat LOCUS Team baru yang bakalan nge-handle LOCUS #4 berikutnya ya! Terutama semangat buat Pimpro baru kebanggaanku, Puti anakku, yang sudah bantuin diriku desain dari jaman hebring-hebring layouting Geosphere hahaha semangat ya Put I know you'll create it better than the older team.

So long LOCUS, so long.

Second Year

Cinta pertama kami sudah berkepala dua, selamat yha.

With the intent of sharing, the first clause of today's post is dedicated to Teknik Geodesi dan Geomatika ITB 2012. Sedikit cerita mungkin kita bisa melakukan kilas balik sebentar tentang "Acara Ini" a.k.a Os a.k.a Osjur a.k.a PPAB.

One-of-a-kind,
Ngomong apa sih gue?

Nasib. Ga pernah yang namanya absen denger suara-suara senior manggil "Heh Odah!" "Odah jawab!"

LIYSF

Helping Eva to make her LIYSF poster with title "Land Subsidence With The Method of Global Navigation Satellite System Survey (Case Study of DKI Jakarta)" fyuh long enough isn't it? Akhirnya poster bikinan gue ikut jalan-jalan ke London :'>

Good news come everyday! Eva joined London International Youth Science Forum (called as LIYSF) 2014 started from the 23rd of July until the 6th of August and carried an issue of the land subsidence in DKI Jakarta. Back to the 21st of July, me with Ka Intan and Ka Meyta brought ourselves to the airport for seeing Eva flying to another continent that early morning. To cherish her event, we were preparing a little package (inside the gift, I wrapped a snow angel velvet mini LED lamp that I  bought it (again) in ACE Hardware for under 50K but not included the batteries).

Unfortunately I was not taking a photograph of 2-sided-card I made for her (the blue one on that photo), so I'll upload the design if you may.

Saying goodbye to Eva before she flied, see you when we see you already!

Take care Evarina Kakakku! We'll miss you everyday, break-those-legs!

Graduation Stuff

[Spoiler for today's post] Congraduation all the 2010s! Some simple-handmade-digital-cards (finally be printed) were designed by me for the special day of yours.

For the second period of graduation day in ITB which held in July (second week of that month, 12th of July for the exact time), I was chosen (unexpectedly) as a Liaison Officer known as LO on that day. And for the great news, the partner of mine as the graduate is Ka Jati the one who's so very-very-very close to me, Firza, and Ajis since the Geopoint 2014 started last April (who was becoming an LO of us for the opening and the closing too), so for the day of yours I would dedicate myself to you and your family; to serve the best and to return the favour you had given to me prior. And also to respect the seniors, I made some artsy goods that neatly saved inside my folder as an honour to them. Do you want to take a look?

I'm enlarging the first image I uploaded above; you may open up the card to see the messages written on that. And this is my favourite card I designed for Ka Bray (yes, just because the colour is blue then I favourited it to my list). Oh for the tete-a-tete information, I had chosen soft-pink and mint-green for the tone colour of Ka Alif's card and on that day she was surprisingly wearing Kebaya with the same colours of her card I made. Coincidence? Hihihi, so lovely.

A posy of Gerberas! The day before, I voluntary reserved a bouquet of those brightly-colored-flowers in Wastu Kencana which surrounded with some wild leaves and daisies-like. Pretty posy is pretty!

The stems were tied by a small rope then I decided to hang a little gift-tag decorated with stripe masking sticker and glued the vintage bike on it.

Front.

Back.

That cool caramel-frame found on the stack of ACE Hardware (24.5K if I'm not mistaken). I ornamented with an Instax photo, some Korean stickers, party stuff, and some words I wrote on a sketch paper.

A set of graduation gift for my alumnus!

You don't have to purchase a large amount of money you have for just spreading the happiness to others, it was cheap and what else? Congraduation!

Ka Siti Turns 21!

[29/06/2014]
"Happy birthday Ka Siti! Keep shining!"

Holiday had started for more than a month since the end of examination term (correct me if I'm wrong) and also I had been sharing some activities I did during this day-off. For tonight to celebrate the birthday bash of my Ka Siti I want to give you a quick route to expel your magabut (stands for: Makan Gaji Buta) time: The simplest gift idea you could make for less than a day.

A set of liberty for Ka Siti's presents.

1. Mason Jar (8 oz), it becomes another industrial business nowadays (you can find online shoppers sell some jars and modify them up to 100K++). But for those who are smart enough to search some original mason jars to find, you just only purchase 19.5K for each jar (cheapest!). I covered the topper with my design itself (printed it to another glossy-thingy-paper) and surrounded with fancy scotch tape plus colourful ropes for up and down.

2. It's a miracle of cute-number stickers and animal post-it attached on the sketch paper I rented just for a page. I also added some wishes as the bubble chats, oh I'm loving what I was doing.

3. If you take a look at the backside of the paper, I changed an origami paper to a ribbon (thank you for the online tutorial which gave me a time to replicate it).

4. Another tutorial taught me to make a water balloon and it was so easy to create it, I put some wishes on it as the addition and those water balloons were ready to be put inside the mason jar.

5. Back to the mason jar (again), what's inside the jar? I printed a photo of Ka Siti (you can take a look to the first photo I uploaded above) and glued it inside to cover the jar. I cut some blue and white paper tissues to pieces and poured them to the jar also with those water balloons. For some advices, you could tied up the topper with some gift tags (the horse looks so stunning with that geometrical masking sticker, does it? I bought it for a set which simply expensive for about 99.5K but worth enough to have). And don't forget to add the fabric crochet flower to make it cuter.

Well, thank you for reading my idea. Happy holiday & happy birthday Ka Siti Herdiati Muharromah!

Crossing The Freshman Year

"Author of the moment, can you tell me, do I end up, do I end up happy?" -Happily Ever After

Our very first year genuinely passes, right after we've finally put in 4 different places of major we choose. God, after a long time of waiting, it finally happens. We, at the end, are separated by the word of "goodbye", the scariest thing I don't ever want to deal with. A year ago, 272 faces of strangers met one another in a one glorious place and accidentally united as one called "family". Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology 2012, you are the most beautiful thing which completed the whole life story of mine.

I was coming as the unknown-metropolis-studentcutting this hair to my shoulder and using five fingers of mine to shake it up. I knew nothing at that time, which familiarly spelled as "no one". Still couldn't accept why God put me to the second option I clearly never predicted my name would be on the same list with 60% people in that room. But voila, day by day, that thought faded away. I'm now knowing the reason why God sent me here: to find the long lost 2nd family I've been searching for ages.

I'm afraid of losing some people who have built the companionship with me, those who make mistakes and break the rules together for year. I'm missing the way we put our hands together in the air then shouting "Obrak-Abrik Abisin!" without any fear. I'm missing of giving surprises for some friends when their birthday arrived, fired the candles and blew them up together. How can I stop remembering this kind of memory we have shared as the freshmen? I'm just loving them too much.

Bon Voyage

Traveled Up!
Yes, me and 4 friends of mine (Wada, Jihan, Ana, and Echy) were having a vacation to Depok last Thursday by using commuter rail. Some days before, we were deciding to break this boring holiday by thinking to visit Jihan's university (actually its library). Random vacation was randomly random. It was actually fun! I'm telling you the truth, the sun couldn't even stop every step we took to visit another place to place to be enjoyed (well honestly we screwed the sunlight up behind, so no one would know the sin we did. Forgive us, universe).

At Juanda station! Waiting the train to pick us up to its journey.

Inside the commuter rail! Jihan and Ana were hanging through the holders. No place to be seated.

Arrived at Kota station. Staring at Dunkin' Donuts for a moment, taking pictures, drinking fizzy iced chocolate, enjoying Thai tea, and chilling out the time we had.

Accidentally on purposes to love this whole life.
